During your cat's stay with us, we will do everything possible to make them feel comfortable, happy and loved. Please read the information below for an understanding of how we aim to achieve this.
The cattery is situated in West End Road, Bitterne, Southampton. It is approximately 10 minutes from Southampton City Centre. We are also easily accessible from Portsmouth and the New Forest, both within about 20 minutes, and just a few minutes from both the M27 and M3 motorways. We advise that you use our off road customer parking at the front of the property to safely unload your cats from the car and bring them into the cattery.
We will then lead you and your cat to his/her personal chalet and help you settle your cat into their accomodation, spending some time with them as they explore their new home. You are more than welcome to bring some of your cat's favourite things from home such as toys and bedding, which may help them to settle in. However, we can't use your cat's own feeding bowls or litter trays, as these are all provided by us.
When you arrive at the cattery, we will check your current vaccination certificate and check the information you have given us on your booking form. It would also be a good idea for you to tell us any other details that you think will be important in helping us to look after your cat. This should include any medication, which we will happily administer.
Each cat has their own bright exercise run and he/she will be able to see all of the movements in the cattery as we walk up and down each day. We also try to make sure that we spend time with each of our residents in the early evening after we are officially closed, giving them lots of loving care and attention.
Each of our chalets has their own generously sized housing and is supplied with Vetbed bedding desinged to keep its occupants warm and comfortable, as reccomended by vets. There is also a thermostatically controlled ceramic heater in the base of every house, which will keep your cat nice and warm. You are welcome to bring any further favourite bedding or toys from home to help your cat settle in.
Each cat that comes to stay with us is given plenty of individual care and attention and is frequently visited. They can also see the comings and goings of the cattery from their chalets and have a view of the garden. If your cat would prefer a quieter area, let us know and we will ensure they are placed in an end chalet. (Note: This will only apply when we are not busy).
We now have a disabled chalet that can be placed on the floor of the run to stop some of our senior visitors having to climb up from floor height.
We also offer our recently refurbished penthouse suite, which can hold up to 3 cats. The suite is 25% bigger than our normal chalets and has a guarenteed garden view. A special treat for your cat to make sure they have a holiday to remember!
